“Take a sad song, and make it better.” This statement has been Run’s motto to make his music in the past a few years, quoted from the Beatles’ most prestigious song, Hey Jude. While he is currently studying production and mixing in college, his style is sorely influenced by the Beatles. When Run is a producer, he always uses fresh-sounding contemporary elements from other genres such as funk and EDM to create a feeling of fusion.
Run is an active member in student clubs. He is the bandleader of the Abbey Road Ensemble at Berklee College of music. His recording and production of Let’s Go wins the G.T. Chinese Musicians Award in 2020. He is writing and producing for his new albums 20 and Revolution. 20, which includes twenty funk-fusion and R&B songs. The project, Revolution, which he is working on with his band, is an album of Run’s original songs features Pop Rock.
The first time that Run met the other band members was in the cafeteria of Berklee College of Music, 160 Massachusetts Avenue in Boston. The band was formed after a long discussion of Beatles’ music, and they found their mutual interest in the Beatles’ album, Abbey Road. They derived their band’s name from this album, and had performed on stages and recorded in studios regularly.
Outside of work, Run enjoys baking, hiking, and painting. He is a fan of making coffee and bubble tea.
